El enfoque que se utilizó es mixto, y se desarrolló a través de un estudio explicativo secuencial, la muestra de la investigación es intencional, con 26 participantes de segundo grado de primaria entre los 7 y 8 años, 13 de género masculino, y 13 de género femenino, pertenecientes en su totalidad a estratos sociales medios y altos. Como resultado, se observa efectividad en la apropiación del inglés como lengua extranjera al establecer espacios investigativos que involucran los intereses, la realidad social y las afecciones tangibles de los aprendices.
