Tank battles of the pacific war : 1941 1945
Resumen
Tanks were a fundamental part of the American Army and Marine Corps combined arms teams that wrested the small and large islands of the Pacific from the Japanese Empire. In fact, they were a fundamental part of the Allied success story. As indicated by captured documents and prisoner interviews, the Japanese considered tanks the most dangerous of American land combat weapons, and went to great pains to develop weapons and tactics to counter them. Yet over the past fifty years the role of the tank in the Pacific war has all but disappeared from the history books, and like Vietnam, World War II in the Pacific is misconceived as a "jungle war" in which the tanks played little or no role
